Services Provided:
NMPP’s NYSDOH funded MICHC was launched in 2013. The project focuses on increasing access to prenatal and postpartum care for pregnant and parenting women who reside in the Northern Manhattan community. This program also incorporates the Thrive project, which offers nutrition counseling and education, physical activity, and health and wellness interventions (e.g. wellness coaching and peer support group) that will effectively reduce the incidence of overweight and obesity and improve future pregnancy outcomes among women.
