Northern Manhattan Head Start/UPK is a non‐profit, ACS/DOE dual funded program located in Washington Heights and serving 185 preschool children ages 3 to 5 in a center based setting. Our primary goal is to promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other related services to enrolled children and their families. Additionally, Head Start provides:
o Full‐Day Program/Five Days per Week
o Nutritious Breakfast, Lunch & Snacks
o Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum
o Certified Teachers
o Comprehensive Evaluation Services for Children with Special Needs
o Educational Dance & Visual Arts
o Enhanced Language Support
