While many communities achieve successful outcomes, NMPP continues to distinguish itself in making an individual and collective impact. NMPP helped to mobilize the grassroots movement that succeeded in partnering with Harlem Hospital to develop the hospital’s first birthing center. NMPP also helped to spearhead a citywide initiative to increase funding from the New York City Council to support women’s health.
